Seems like all the pre-season hype and promise has come to naught. We’ve had been drip-fed with excitement and anticipation with our late pre-season bloom but…ultimately Liverpool floundered when it mattered most. I saw a comment on teamtalk.com’s website where a Man Utd fan said this was one of the worst performance an English team ever put in Europe.
While that might be a tad exaggerated, it is not far off either. We were horribly awful. At least Rafa didn’t try to act like there were ‘positives’ to take out of that game. It highlights the old problems that plauged us and some other new holes as well. For one, Dossena doesn’t look like he’s worth 7 million pounds. Heck he doesn’t even look like he’s worth 2 mil!
